I've set up a web site where i've assembled all the best wii hacking information available on the internets, visit my site at http://bannerbomb.net and you too will now be the proud owner of a fully hacked wii! I've also got a full tutorial on how to hack the wii ver 4.2 without the need for any kind of game, all you need is an SD card! All of this information is of course free!

The Alpha release of Bannerbomb is out and can install the Homebrew Channel on a v4 Wii. Also, the relatively new BootMii is a great boot2 replacement and allows you to backup and restore your whole system. If you brick your system menu, you can still boot into BootMii and recover from a backup. It's very much like Preloader, but it has a prettier interface and works a bit better. BootMii is in Alpha or Beta also, but it worked great for me and I have successfully recovered a bricked Wii with it.

Hey guys and gal! Great show, first time I've actually seen it. Great info and well presented.

I'm sure I'll get some flame from this, but I don't mean it to be flame bait.

Curious as to why the alcohol is present in the show? Is it really needed? For every positive bit of information offered, the open display of alcohol just dropped it back to frat level IMHO.

I think the show format shows a laid back attitude which I really enjoy, and the information is strong, accurate and well presented. I just don't see the need for the alcohol.

Hey guys! Great show as always. I really liked Matt's Openfire piece. In fact, my company has been wanting something like that for a while, but budgets are tight. They actually let me setup Openfire on Ubuntu server 64 bit. I used the MySQL option with LDAP support. It is working awesomely! I am working on a write-up on installing it on Ubuntu 9.04 which will post Monday 4/20 at Bauer-Power. Of course a huge shout-out will be in there for Matt and Hak5!

3.2 is still the "Goldenware" so for those who have homebrew enabled (and cIOS' for 4.0), it's very possible to downgrade. It's very easy to do but there's also the risk of bricking the Wii.

However, for those who are already on 3.3 or lower, I recommend getting Preloader. This too has a risk of bricking Wii's but if the current firmware you hold is <= 3.3, there are many further updates (via DVD's/Games) that you can use with a SaveMii dongle to unbrick.

Preloader will even help to make a Wii very unbrickable; or if anything, very easy to repair/unbrick.

Great video!!! I was looking for a free LAN chat for a couple of days now, and this was the perfect solution. It took me about half an hour to set up the server on a box running Cent/OS. Added 2 user our company in San Diego, San Francisco, and Texas. I plan to add more users, perhaps a total of 30. There's a cool "Buzz" Feature that alerts the user when the have a new IM. The only problem I had was download in the rpm. Great Episode everyone.

Question - Would their be a problem if we added more than 50 users?

Just a couple of Questions:

What os is Matt running during the openfire install?
What would be the best Solution to implement an IPS/IDS for a Home user?

Thanks guys (and you to shannon)
Love the show, keep up the Good work
