Meh, your show is getting worse and worse – it becomes more commercial every week! If you spent more time doing down and dirty geek segments, and less time “thanking” your sponsors, you’d get more credibility!
Stop with all the “cool” hand gestures and stupidness – this isn’t cool, you just look like dorks – you NEED some meat to bulk out your show, because at the moment you’re just feeding us hollow, boring waffle!
You waffle a lot about your *personal* pet projects and likes/dislikes… does ANYONE care? We want geek food, OR OUT!
Finally… what was up with Jason on the A block? He looked:
A/ Stoned
B/ Drunk
C/ Tired
D/ ALL of the above
PS: I couldn’t make this show – I am not saying I don’t appreciate the work you do… just make it BETTER, because it is, quite frankly, getting borrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrring!
I liked the whiteboard segment, but you should really write larger!
Great A block, I think you did a pretty good just breaking down DNS Darren. I def checking out the stoned bootkit as well, thanks for the info Snubs!
Hey Darren!
What’s up with the audio? Sounds like the high freq’s are clipping/have a compression artifact.

Hey, how come there is nothing on dorknet.hak5.org:1337? Or is there, and I just don’t know how to access it? Keep up the good work guys, hoping to meet you at next year’s DefCon!
I love your show, but I am curious as to when you will be revisiting the router project that you started in season seven.
Great info I am just starting out in IT and this info is very useful
please keep up the good work. I have been following the show for oiut some time and have learn alot from your show.
Great show. Some nice basics on DNS. Analysis of packets – lets dive deep!
Small correction: IRC is usually 6667, not 6669.
You are correct. However, they use a range of ports from 6667-6669, if I remember correctly.
Also, cisco and many other sources list the assigned IRC port as 194.
Standard is 6667, SSL is usually 6697. That is probably where the confusion came from.
Your intro to DNS was excellent! I knew all that, but it was good to see it all brought together. You might have mentioned what .org really means. I’m a member of CIRA, which administers .ca domains.
@12:55 I hope that isn’t his actual password… it’s not so blurred there
Great episode, I went to school for Computer Networking Technology and let me say you made that so simple to explain. Great Job! My prof made it so hard to get that my had wanted to explode. But I guess I was also learning addressing for subnetting in IPV4 & IPV6.
Any ways I am really really wondering when part 2 is coming, as DNS is very fascinating for me. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!
