Use SSD and automated backups ,problem solved
I was just curious, what is the name of the rugged case that you have your netbook in? I was interested in using something similar for my HP Touchpad 32gb.
Thanks and keep up the great work!!
Darren uses Pelican cases.
I wanted to point out a possible fail-safe to losing your flash drive. I successfully copied the key file onto another drive. However, to make this work it will also need to be configured as the “A” drive also when plugged in, which means you will need to remove the first drive to configure the backup drive to be recognized as “A”. I used an SD card with a write block to further protect the file from being accidentally destroyed.
Interesting info about ZNC. It seems like there are a lot of steps involved to essentially connect to IRC from your server using these methods. I tend to use irssi and screen. Here’s a great guide:

I couldn’t really see any advantages using znc over something like irssi and screen but I haven’t really messed with ZNC. Can anyone explain?
