Hey Darren,
Is there any way I could get the script you used to messure the signal?
#!/bin/bash
signal() {
iwconfig wlan1 | grep Link
}
while true; do
signal
sleep 1s
done
done
Peplace wlan1 with whatever device reference name represents the device you want to observe.
#!/bin/bash
while true; do
iwconfig wlan1 | grep Link
sleep 1s
done
Cisco routers out the door for me as far as I am concerned. I stick with my own openwrt TPLink.
looked at this vid saw 1 thing if you are going after access point vertical polarization works the best .
but point to point between Friends link horizontal is the one to use for the long distance hauls try it out
to do horz polarization take the dish you use in above and spin it 90degrees on its side then take signal report other side of link will have to do it to ,try it
it should get you better results cause most hotspots and adapters are vert polarizations try it tell me your thoughts and mail me
