hey guys,
i have a dynamic arp entry of my isp's switch to my machine. is there a way to turn it into a static entry, so that i remain connected to the switch without configuring the arp entry on the switch. |

If in windows, you can use:
arp -s xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx where xxx is the ip and xx- is the mac. This creates a static entry. If in linux, do as op says, "man arp" for help, cause I don't know it off the top of my head. -------------------- |
