Hak5 Developer Program

The Hak5 Developer Program (program) is for those who are committed to creating web applications (modules) for the WiFi Pineapple Mark VII (MK7) platform. Modules may implement GUI front-ends to popular command line tools, provide new and novel attacks, add compatibility with common peripherals, or any number of functions which take advantage of the 7th generation WiFi Pineapple hardware. If you love building web apps and getting involved in the Hak5 community, we want you on our team!

Apply

This program is in beta and may change over time. We hope as it grows it may expand to include other Hak5 platforms. Your feedback on the program is greatly appreciated.

The Hak5 Developer Program provides the following benefits:

Compensation

  • Grants: Participants in the program may receive up-front payments for the development of approved modules upon application. Grants range from $100–$1000 USD depending on module complexity.

  • Dev Kits: Participants in the program with published modules will receive early access to new hardware platforms and hardware add-on modules.

Published module authors from WiFi Pineapple platforms prior to the MK7 may apply to receive new Hak5 hardware as part of this program.

  • Stipends: Participants in the program whose modules are accepted to the open source MK7 module repository (meeting the published style-guide and using the documented API) may receive a one-time payment.

  • Tips: All published module authors may have a "tips" string (e.g. PayPal/BTC/Venmo address) included in the information page for their module. This enables MK7 users to show appreciation for the module by directly compensating the module developer with a payment. Tips are optional, not guaranteed and no transactions between both third parties are seen by Hak5 LLC.

Collaboration

In addition to the publicly available WiFi Pineapple API documentation and style-guide, participants in the Hak5 Developers Program may engage in an exclusive chat to connect them with other participants, which may be frequented by the software engineers from Hak5 as available.

Promotion

Modules accepted to the open source MK7 module repository may be publicized by the various Hak5 social media and other direct communication channels.
